3.Julia- she works in the Fiction Department, and she gets away with a lot of things, she has had affairs with party members, and she can get " inside " real food.
4.O'brien- A big man, who is friends with Winston
5.Emanuel Goldstien- a Philosopher, a man with significant thoughts and attributes
***Settings****
1.City- seems to be in order and full of surprise's,There are Mic's everywhere
2.Winston's Pod- he thinks that he can get away with things but there are mics everywhere
3.The streets- where everything is being watched and listened to.
4.The woods- a getaway where Winston and Julia meet up to seee eachother in privacy
5.The house- where Winston and Julia also meet up, but are not alone...
6. The Ministry of Love- where people are sent, it's like a jail.
***Important Events***
1.Ruler( Big Brother)- when he is on the big " screen" they all watch in anticipation
2.Rations become smaller- the people wait for their " share" of things, and then to find out that they got smaller and reduced.
3.Winston meets Julia, they sneak around avoiding all tele-screens to be with each-other.
4.They catch Julia and Winston, they are put in "confinement" and in an interrogation unit. They are left to starve and be beat for questioning.
5. O'brien is a secret party member, and tortures Winston himself.
6.They have a machine that goes to a hundred, and it's the amount of pain you can receive- Winston is being questioned with it.
7. O'brien begins to persuade Winston that big brother exists and that there rules do apply, he than is hypnotized into believing what he denied before. He was a completly different person.
8. They get Winston believing and obeying the rules, he finally loves big brother.

***Background Information***
1. Everyone is watched and listened to.
2. Everyone has to love and obey the party, and most important, Big Brother.
3. English is not the language, its Newspeak, a language that is okay, but others are forbidden.
4. Everyone is suppose to obey, and not question anything out of place.
5. Anyone who goes against the rules, can be " Vaporized " or sent to the ministry of love, where only the people who have been there know what it is like.
